PDX Seamsters Studio is committed to expanding the opportunities available to studio members.

Ideal for one-on-one consultation, group instruction, as well as intensive skills and project development.


One-on-one or small private sewing get-togethers. You pick the project, you pick the time -- we give you the setup and the knowledge to make it happen.
Private Lessons are pretty open-ended and self-paced; we are here to assist you with your project.

Working one-on-one is very helpful in mapping and understanding the organization and setup of your project, and then again in learning specific construction techniques.

Most people purchase a block of private lesson time (say 12 hours) then split it up over several sessions. This allows you to work at home in-between lessons.

For those who would rather work in the studio, we will often spin private lesson hours off into less expensive 'Open Studio' hours for aspects of the construction that don't require such intensive one-on-one interaction. For bigger projects you can save more by purchasing flat-rate studio access subscription.

All credits are transferable (between private lessons/open studio/classes/machine repair/etc.)
