

In 1989, with a background in architecture, a strong foundation in drafting and design, Reyburn began creating hats and selling to boutiques and venues throughout the Seattle, Washington area. His line was pick up by Nordstrom and carried in stores.
Reyburn moved his hat business to Paris in 1991. Within 1 year he had more than 40 different stores throughout Europe selling his creations. He even had a vendor in the Louvre. While in Paris Reyburn began his studies at ESMOD Fashion University, working his way through school by continuing to sell his hats to boutiques and department stores.
In 1995 Reyburn graduated with a diploma in fashion patternmaking and design, He immediately began working for a French/African Designer named Xuly Bet, while beginning to design and make clothes on his own.
Having trained and gained solid professional experience on the Paris fashion scene for more than seven years, Reyburn returned to the United States in 1998 to enthusiastically embarked on his career in the New York fashion industry. He landed a position as first patternmaker at Anna Sui Inc.. He worked directly with Anna to drape clothes for her designer collection.
In 2002 St. John Knits recruited Reyburn to work in Irvine, California. He created evening gowns for the St. John Collection and learned how to make patterns using a computer.
In 2004 The Dressing Room opened, a custom dress making and tailoring shop in the East Village Art District in Long Beach. While in Long Beach He expanded his audience by hosting a weekly radio show called “Reclaiming the Art of Dressing” at KCTY Radio.
In 2009 Reyburn moved to Portland Oregon, into a design studio near Lloyd Center, complete with sewing studio. A step into Reyburn’s private studio is like a step back in time. A stunning red cocktail dress, a hand-crafted cashmere pea coat, a raw silk blazer, a sliver wedding dress with 10 yards of cascading ruffles - all in different stages of construction. He seamlessly works on both menswear and designer dresses. Stepping from patternmaking, to cutting, to sewing, to pressing like a master chef in the kitchen.
