Learn techniques for sewing French Seams, Elastic smocking, lace appliqué, sewing with the bobbin thread, using the feed dogs to ease as well as gathering and ruffling feet. In a French seam, the raw edges of the fabric are fully enclosed for a neat finish. Machine smocking is a technique used to gather fabric so that it can stretch. Appliqué involves pieces of fabric, embroidery, or other materials which are sewn onto another piece of fabric to create designs, patterns or pictures. Learn all this and so much more!

Triple Zipper
Learn to sew a Lapped, Fly Front and Invisible zipper!

In a combination of demonstrations and sample sewing you will review the steps required for three crucial zipper applications. With the guidance of our instructors the multiple step process will be demystified! Leave class with sewn samples and detailed instructions for all three zipper techniques.
